Mercuryo is seeking a Head of Finance Transformation, responsible for leading the
transformation journey by defining, leading and delivering the transformation and continual
improvement of the Finance core end-to-end processes.


ROLE OBJECTIVES
As a key member of the Finance team, the Head of Finance Transformation will be responsible
for the Finance ERP workstream programme including working with key stakeholders to drive
the transformation of the finance function to become a strategic business partner.
The role is predominately remote working however due to the nature of the role and the global
finance projects it would be working on, regular head office visits to site would be needed.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
 Overall responsibility for the finance workstream within the ERP programme
 Lead the transformation journey by defining, leading, and delivering the transformation
and continual improvement of the Finance end-to-end core processes.
 Drive the review, re-design, and simplification of finance processes to optimise
automation whilst minimising bespoke modifications to the core system ensuring best
practice is embedded
 Reviewing and developing the business requirements in conjunction with key
stakeholders, ensuring alignment to the overall business objectives and strategy to
achieve real business outcomes
 As part of the ERP programme, collaborate with all stakeholders, including the Strategic
Partner, at all stages of the programme including planning, design, development,
testing, migration, go-live, ensuring all appropriate go / no-go gates are established and
are communicated effectively
 From project initiation, cost approvals and resulting benefits, track project cost from the
inception and cost management to project close; delivering, servicing, and retiring of
legacy processes
 Ensure new processes are understood and followed post implementation.
 Work collaboratively with the main stakeholders to define, prioritise and implement core
processes transformation and continual improvement of the processes.
 Proactively seek and make recommended improvements and respond to business
requirements.
 Responsible for ensuring the Finance core process adequately mitigates risks and
maintain the controls and audit requirements set by the CFO.
 Building and delivering project plans, ensuring buy in from and alignment with key
stakeholders to deliver tangible and embedded business change. Ensuring adoption of
changes in systems and procedures to drive business benefits.
 Accountable for maintenance of process maps, standard operating procedures, and
control documentation relevant to the Finance core processes.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
 Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
 Proven Systems or Programme Transformation planning and delivery experience
 Payments/Banking or large volume transaction-based business accounting experience,
understanding of core business processes, benchmarking, and best practice.
 Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and be able to build
relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders.
 Expertise in Finance processes, control, and compliance
 Ability to focus on benefits realisation, working with business service delivery teams to
identify opportunities for improvements and drive to implement these changes in
conjunction with those delivery teams.
 Understands the interdependencies on business process to achieve the Finance
business requirements
 Experience in delivering global finance solutions
 Previous experience of implementing ERP systems/process into a global business,
working with offshore resources
 In depth expertise of the finance function, covering functional processes, reporting and
general regulatory requirements
 Ability to review, re-design and optimise processes through simplification, streamlining
and automation; bringing best practice proposals to deliver improved business
outcomes
 Demonstrable experience of actively driving change to ensure engagement and
adoption of new ways of working
 Experience in working with senior decision makers and stakeholders across Finance,
Risk, IT, Data analytics and the wider business
